As I start to come to, I have a feeling that I am moving. Moving at a pretty fast rate, too! I also have the feeling that I’m being held, almost as one would hold an infant. Nervous, I open one eye and then immediately wish I hadn’t. We are zipping through the canopy of the forest, much higher than I am comfortable with. I glance up, and he pays me no heed. “Um, excuse me, but where are you taking me?” I ask.
“The forest isn’t safe, princess. Would you have rather I left you behind to be taken captive?” he replied.

Chapter 1
It was the last ten minutes of the day.
